This is my interpretation
of False Face masks traditionally made by the Mohawk.
The Mohawks used the masks in healing ceremonies and
were believed to be spirits from the forest.
The Mohawk traditions
have been lost in my family history. With these works
I'm trying to reanimate or invent for myself the stories
I never heard.
