Pressed shape in
moist sand with coloured glass powders shifted on top.
Next I pour the glass into the sand cavity.
I start rolling
the glass using wooden tools.
After the roll-up
I wait for the glass to cool a bit before placing it
into the cooling oven (annealer).

The hot glass blowing
process is the final step in the making of a False Face.
As shown in the pictures, the fire and heat and elastic
properties of glass bring the sculpture to life.
The flames and fire
finish the carving and the smoke tints and stains the
wood.
